1. Friday (1995)

The relatability metre is high with this one! This one is not about the plot, but the interesting characters in a neighbourhood that you might feel it's your homies talking about. Sprinkled with stoner humour throughout, you could quote the lines forever and never get bored. 

The protagonists include Craig Johnson, played by Ice Cube, and Smokey, played by Chris Tucker. They go through a hilarious situation of coming up with 200 dollars to give to their dealers as they smoked up the stash that was supposed to be sold. Happens to the best of us, doesn't it?

2. Pineapple Express (2008)

 

A cult classic, you would often hear Pineapple Express making every stoner's favourite movie list. And it deserves the limelight it has been receiving all these years. 

The hysterical plot ensues a rare strain of cannabis and a lone joint at a crime scene. The story unfolds as Seth Rogen & James Franco accidentally witness a crime scene at the drug lord's abode and then follows hilarity and plotline that would leave you rolling and laughing. 3. Ted (2012)

A talking teddy bear smoking a bong? That sounds like some real stoner shit!

The movie follows the plot of two best friends living together, accustomed to the pot-centric lifestyle. However, everything changes when one of them gets a serious girlfriend and has to turn around the habit. And did we mention that Ted is one of his best friends? 

If you're easily offended, leave this one out. Seth MacFarlane, the director of Family Guy, ensures this teddy bear is far, far from the general view. It's a comedy that leaves you in a split!

4. Dazed & Confused (1993)

Dazed & Confused is about a high school end celebration, confused teenagers rushing towards adulthood, and the confusion between freedom and rule-following that we have all faced in our life. 

The Lee High School class of 1976 celebrate their graduation as the school star and students navigate through doobies, responsibilities, career choices, and more. It's an accurate, almost nostalgic representation of an in-between path when being 'dazed and confused' is the ultimate description of life.

Cheech and Chong is a famous stoner cult notoriously known for their stereotypical stoner representation lined with ball jokes, shady songs, and of course, weed references. 6. How High (2001)

Jeff Bridges, played by Jeff Lebowski also known as 'The Dude' who makes his life about bowling and marijuana. Jeff Bridges meets a millionaire where they help in handing over a ransom. The film makes for an ideal stoner movie, as the cast moves at an ideal pace.

8. Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle (2004)

Harold and Kumar is the modern-day version of Cheech and Chong, two modern age stoners who go on mischievous adventures to endeavour and embark on hilarious & disastrous events. 

Harold Lee and Kumar Patel smoke up and go on a search for fast food. They decide to go to the fast-food chain White Castle, leading to a series of misadventures on the way! Oh, there is Neil Patrick Harrison as well, like a cherry on top!

9. True Romance (1993)

 

This one had Brad Pitt in it, and let's face it, it has to be in the top ten list! 

The intriguing story involves an ex-call girl (Patricia Arquette) falling in love. The plot follows when they escape from the mafia after stealing drugs. Written by Quentin Tarantino, it is a well-plotted movie with characters stealing the show. The guest appearance of Brad Pitt completes the show and adds to the overall fun, excitement, and delight!

10. Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989)

The movie involves spacey kids, time travellers, and high school buddies. Bill and Ted are starting a band but are failing their history class which may result in Ted being sent to military school. As they encounter a time traveller from the future, they use his time machine and go back in history to meet and learn from the important figures themselves. Safe to say, the history presentation turned out to be a bomb!
